When the NER people say about themselves that they are the national side, do they realize that by doing so they are verbally abusing a large part of Hungarians, or do they think that we do not consider ourselves national, and that this is a neutral statement for us? Perhaps they think that we also consider them national or more national? I have never considered them more national, not even than the old left-wing parties, since at least those did not reduce national sentiment to a marketing tool.

Yesterday, MP announced that he would transfer back to György Wáberer the 100 million forints he had donated to Tisza, because he believes Wáberer used it for self-promotion in an interview. I wonder how the audience would react if Wáberer responded to this in a healthy, adult manner alien to current Hungarian public discourse: “I feel humiliated that my donation is being transferred back because of my statements, but at the same time I am glad, because I consider the principle to be right. I accidentally swipe left on the Android home screen, and there is Google’s news feed. A sensation catches my eye: “A court has awarded 200 billion euros to the Russian Central Bank against the Euroclear depository.” I happen to know that Euroclear controls most of the frozen Russian assets, so if this news is true, it means a catastrophe: 200 billion euros is an enormous amount of money, and if the warring Russian state gets it, it can buy a great deal of death and suffering with it.
